MIAMI, FL – April 4, 2024 – The Honorable Judge Gordon Murray has been named the sole Honors Causa inductee into the 2025 class of the National Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa (OΔK), one of the nation’s most distinguished leadership honor societies.

Judge Murray was formally inducted in a virtual ceremony, marking a momentous occasion for the National Circle and celebrating a lifetime of service, leadership, and integrity.

Known affectionately as The Community Judge, Judge Murray has dedicated his career to accessible justice and civic engagement. He currently serves as a County Court Judge in Miami-Dade County, where his leadership on and off the bench has earned him two of Florida’s highest judicial honors: the 2023 Chief Justice Award for Judicial Excellence, presented by Florida Chief Justice Carlos G. Muñiz, and the 2023 William M. Hoeveler Judicial Professionalism Award, presented by The Florida Bar.

Founded in 1914, Omicron Delta Kappa has initiated more than 300,000 members nationwide. Its distinguished membership includes U.S. Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and George H. W. Bush; Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg; anthropologist Margaret Mead; journalist Robin Roberts; and NFL quarterback Peyton Manning. Judge Murray now joins this esteemed community of leaders dedicated to exemplary character and service.
