July 23, 2025 — G.C. Murray II, Esq., DPL, CEO of Association GC, delivered a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) presentation for the Solo & Small Firm Section of The Florida Bar, titled “The Practical Practitioner: The Ethics & The Essentials of Everyday Lawyering,” presented live via Zoom.
The CLE focused on ethical everyday lawyering, highlighting the small, often overlooked habits that shape professional responsibility and the long-term health of a legal practice. Rather than addressing high-profile violations or scandals, Murray emphasized the practical realities attorneys face daily—such as time mismanagement, unclear client communication, and ineffective systems—that can quietly lead to ethical risk.
Speaking from his perspective as both a lawyer and an executive coach, Murray underscored how many ethics issues stem from operational strain rather than intent, and why returning to foundational lawyering principles is essential for staying grounded, confident, and clear in practice.
The Solo & Small Firm Section of The Florida Bar is distinct in its focus, bringing together attorneys across practice areas who share a commitment to improving the practice of law itself. The presentation aligned with the Section’s mission to provide meaningful, practical education that supports lawyers in serving their clients and communities.
