Barreau Legal Founder Sworn In as Governor for Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division
PORT ST. LUCIE, FL – July 2, 2025 – Attorney, professor, and author Jamy Barreau, Esq., LL.M, founder of Barreau Legal, PLLC, was officially sworn in as a Governor for the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division (YLD). Barreau, a first-generation Haitian-American and Port St. Lucie native, leads a multi-state law firm focused on preserving generational wealth through estate planning, tax strategy, and legacy law.
With a reputation for excellence and a growing digital presence, Barreau brings to the YLD a clear vision: elevate the next generation of lawyers by empowering them with practical tools, mentorship, and a commitment to ethical service.

His background includes a J.D. from Barry University School of Law, where he served on Law Review, and an advanced LL.M in Taxation from Boston University. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Purdue Global Law School.
