FLORIDA, June 19, 2026 — G.C. Murray II, Esq., DPL, CEO and Managing Attorney of Association GC, served as the keynote speaker for the Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Leadership Academy Class XIII Graduation, a signature leadership program of The Florida Bar.

Murray delivered a well-received 30-minute keynote address to more than 100 attendees, including members of the Academy, Florida Bar leaders, colleagues, and supporters. His remarks centered on purposeful leadership, professional responsibility, service to the legal community, and the urgency of using one’s voice, platform, and position to make a meaningful impact.

The Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Leadership Academy brings together attorneys from across Florida to develop leadership skills, build professional relationships, and prepare for deeper service within The Florida Bar, the legal profession, and their communities.

“Leadership is not something we should treat as distant or reserved for another season,” said Murray. “It is a responsibility we carry in the present. My hope was to encourage this class to lead with intention, serve with clarity, and recognize the impact they can make right now.”

Murray’s keynote reflected his broader commitment to leadership development, professional service, and strengthening institutions that support lawyers, leaders, and communities. As CEO and Managing Attorney of Association GC, Murray works with associations, nonprofit organizations, executives, and legal professionals on governance, strategy, leadership, communications, and organizational growth.

The opportunity to speak before the graduating class marked another meaningful moment in Murray’s continued service to The Florida Bar and the legal profession. His remarks encouraged the Academy’s graduates to view leadership not only as a title or future achievement, but as a daily decision to serve, listen, build, and act with purpose.

“It was an honor to speak to this class of leaders,” Murray said. “The legal profession needs people who are willing to lead with courage, humility, and intention. I was grateful for the opportunity to share that message with the next generation of Bar leaders.”
