Association GC's CEO and Managing Attorney, G.C. Murray II, Esq., served as the Guest Editor of the Florida Bar Journal, Volume 100, No. 2, published in March/April 2026. This milestone issue centers on professional sustainability in the legal profession, an increasingly important topic for lawyers, bar leaders, and legal organizations navigating the long-term demands of practice and leadership.

As Guest Editor, Murray helped shape a timely and substantive issue focused on how the legal profession can better support lawyers in building durable, high-performing careers. The issue’s emphasis on professional sustainability reflects a broader recognition that the future of law depends not only on technical excellence, but also on structures, cultures, and leadership models that allow legal professionals to thrive over time.
Murray reflected on the experience by saying:
“I was honored to serve as the Guest Editor of the Florida Bar Journal for Volume 100, No. 2 (March/April 2026), which focuses on professional sustainability in the legal profession.
The opportunity came through an appointment by Sia Baker-Barnes, President of The Florida Bar.
I’ve had the privilege of writing for the Journal before, but serving as Guest Editor offered a different perspective on how ideas move through the profession. The editorial process reminded me how important thoughtful dialogue is for the future of law.
Professional sustainability is not just about avoiding burnout. It is about building careers and leadership structures that allow lawyers to perform at a high level over the long term.
I’m grateful to have contributed to that conversation and to everyone who helped make this issue possible.”
This recognition reflects Association GC’s continued commitment to advancing thoughtful leadership, practical insight, and meaningful contributions to the legal profession.
