Association GC's CEO and Managing Attorney, G.C. Murray II, Esq., has authored the featured article in the Florida Bar Journal, Volume 100, No. 2 (March/April 2026). Titled “The Architecture of Belonging: Building a Bar with a Seat for Everyone,” the piece offers a timely and thoughtful perspective on how the legal profession can build stronger institutions by creating meaningful space for every lawyer to contribute, lead, and thrive.

In the article, Murray examines belonging not as an abstract aspiration, but as something that must be intentionally designed through leadership, structure, and sustained institutional commitment. He argues that the strength and future of the Bar depend on more than tradition alone. They depend on whether lawyers across backgrounds, career stages, practice settings, and lived experiences can see themselves reflected in the profession and supported within it.

The article’s core message is captured in one of its most resonant lines: “Belonging is the currency of future leadership. Sustainability is its infrastructure.” That statement reflects the broader premise of the piece: a durable and forward-looking profession is built not simply by inviting participation, but by creating systems and cultures in which people can remain engaged, grow in influence, and help shape what comes next.

As the featured article in this landmark 100th volume of the Florida Bar Journal, Murray’s publication contributes an important voice to ongoing conversations about leadership, culture, and the long-term sustainability of the legal profession. It also reflects the values that continue to shape his work at Association GC, including strategic leadership, professional sustainability, and the conviction that strong institutions are built by making room for people to belong.
