PORT ST. LUCIE, FL — October 2025 — Attorney Jamy E. Barreau, Esq., LL.M., Managing Attorney of Barreau Legal, PLLC, has been appointed by International Justice John Karasek, with confirmation from the International Board, to serve as District Justice for District XXXII of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International. The district comprises law school and alumni chapters located throughout South Florida.

As District Justice, Barreau will serve as the fraternity’s regional representative and liaison between the chapters, alumni, and the International Executive Board. His responsibilities include promoting communication among chapters, mentoring student and alumni leaders, organizing the annual District Leadership and Transition Conference, ensuring compliance with fraternity policies, encouraging professional development and community service, and fostering collaboration between students, alumni, and the broader legal community.

Barreau was initiated in 2015 into Phi Alpha Delta through its Bradwell Chapter at Barry University School of Law, where he became a member of the fraternity’s Society of Scholars. He went on to become a lifetime member and part of the Founders’ Circle, while also serving on the Disciplinary Committee and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.

Drawing on his experience serving attorneys across multiple bar associations and his insights as an educator, Barreau aims to strengthen chapter engagement, mentor emerging leaders, and advance the fraternity’s mission of service to the student, the school, the profession, and the community. His term as District Justice will run through November 30, 2026.

“I am truly honored by this appointment and grateful to International Justice John Karasek and the International Board for their confidence in me,” said Barreau. “Phi Alpha Delta has been instrumental in shaping my journey as both an attorney and an educator. I look forward to working closely with the South Florida chapters to support their growth, promote leadership development, and uphold the fraternity’s proud tradition of integrity, compassion, and service.”
